Has anyone ever used this? I just bought Loreal today, I was searching for Aveda or Redken but the local beauty supply didnt sell the shampoo and conditioner in those brands. Is this good enough or should I order the other brands online for better results? I could not find any reviews on these Loreal products online. Thanks in advance.
My highlights are yellow :( so this is the reason for me using this type of shampoo/condtioner. I hope it works.L'oreal white violet shampoo/conditioner good or bad?
Personally, these products work just as good as the more expensive salon brands. It makes no difference to me, or my hair..though I will say that the scent is absolutely to die for. Give it a try. If it doesn't turn out to be all that you'd hoped for..chalk it up to trial and error and remind yourself not to select that particular product the next time you go shopping for your shampoo and conditioner.

How to figure out expiration date on L'Oreal products?
Does L'Oreal put manufactured date on their cosmetics??How to figure out expiration date on L'Oreal products?
Commercial products like L'Oreal won't have expiration dates because they are chock-full of all sorts of [often harmful] chemicals to preserve them 鈥?granted microbes aren't exactly a picnic either.
Cosmetics and toiletries are put into two categories; Category-1 and Category-2.
Category-1 is anything used on children under the age of 3 years old or that comes in contact with mucosa (eye make-up or lipstick for example) and Category-2 is everything else.
It is all to do with the acceptable levels of microbes in the products; no microbes should be detectable in 0.5 grams of a Category-1 product, and no microbes detectable in 0.1 grams of Category-2 product.
I believe if a product will fall below these or otherwise go bad under two years they have to have best before dates by law 鈥?thus why products from the likes of Lush have best before dates on them, because unlike companies like L'Oreal they use more natural ingredients and fewer harmful preservatives.
If something is looking or smelling odd, if you have spit in it, if it has been sitting somewhere warm or sitting open for a long time, if you have had it for a couple of years (or in the case of Category-1 products, 6+ months), if you have spit into it (yes some people are that gross), if you have thinned or watered it down, etc. then it is time to throw it out.How to figure out expiration date on L'Oreal products?
A good rule of thumb is..
Replace all of your eyeliner, mascara and eyeshadow every 6 months.
Replace everything else once a year.
This keeps bacteria levels down and it guarantees that you aren't wearing a shade that went out of style 3 years ago.
I don't think so, but you're supposed to throw away makeup that's been opened more than a month. Hope that helps.
They dont have one you throw them away after a month or 2
maybe - call them and ask!
I am not sure but mascara should be discarded every three months due to bacteria build up. The best thing to do is do a makeup overhaul every year.heart rate monitor

Has Anyone tried the L'Oreal Super Blonde Creme Lightening Kit?
I'm asian with very dark, thin hair. I want to dye a few strands blonde but I don't want the yellow orange red colour. So i've heard this is a good product and I wanna check it out. But since I only want to dye very little of my hair, I was wondering if the product can be stored. Do you mix it then apply and will I be able to save the rest for another time?Has Anyone tried the L'Oreal Super Blonde Creme Lightening Kit?
if you mix a little you can save the rest, but anything that is already mixed if not used, needs to be thrown out...
so have a little extra dish to mix everything in..
leave it in a while, the longer you leave it in, the lighter it gets..
but, if you leave it in too long, it will just dissolve the hair, so be careful.
happy highlighting..Has Anyone tried the L'Oreal Super Blonde Creme Lightening Kit?
Yes, It most defiantly will turn orange/ red, go to the hair dresser and ask for a few foils. I know most salons charge $2 per foil these days, and its a Professional job so no red/orange in sight.
Otherwise you will also need to purchase a blonde TONER you can buy this from the chemist costs around $6-$8, but trust me its not worth damaging your hair for a few dollars. See the hair dresser you wont be dissapointed.
And NO you cannot store mixed bleach it will explode it left in a bottle, anyways it stops activating after a while.

L'oreal color pulse, how does it work?
I'm thinking about using it anyone have any recommendations?L'oreal color pulse, how does it work?
I tried a similar one by herbal essences. It works pretty well. It only adds a bit of colour, so if you want a big change, use a demi permanent or a permanent dye. It's fairly easy to use, you just have to make sure you don't get any on your hands.
Also, it washees out quickly, so if you don't like it, you don't have to deal with it for long.

For products to show any results, you have to use them for quite awhile....like about 3 months regularly before you see any difference. There will be no radical differences in any eye cream you use...no matter how expensive they are.

Has anyone used L'Oreal Superior Preference Dream Blonde?
I have light reddish brown hair. People tell me its strawberry blonde. I was wondering if anyone here has used Dream Blonde and what their results were? I was thinking about using the lightest color Glistening Magnolia 11. Do you need to use bleach before using Dream Blonde or does it bleach your hair in the process how the box shows?Has anyone used L'Oreal Superior Preference Dream Blonde?
I went from being a light brown into a 10 Lightest Blonde (Alluring Peony) in one try. It came out warmer (more gold than the box), but I love the result! The shamppoo %26amp; conditioner are fabulous, and I keep the little cream that the box comes with in my purse to tame frizz... it smells like pina colada! I had the cosmetician recommend the shade for me so maybe you could do the same... Has anyone used L'Oreal Superior Preference Dream Blonde?
I have it in my hair now processing -its very much like bleach itself my hair is now a pale orange (scary)15 min more to go- I visited l'oreal.com and they help you chose a shade- I also went to Sally's beauty supply and got a toner - blue based just in case be careful if you have red in your hair - i do also and go with something cool or ash based to avoid brassiness- oh and I am using dream blonde ultimate blonding if I do not add any more to this later on the results were good

Which l'oreal infallible foundation colours should a pale/fair oriental person get?
This l'oreal foundation comes in 11 colours. Has anyone with complexion similar to ziyi zhang (or just pale east asian in general) tried it? What colour was most suitable?
(Was thinking of getting as it is on sale. Vanilla 120 seemed okay, but became darker than neck after 1 hour.)Which l'oreal infallible foundation colours should a pale/fair oriental person get?
I really can't say but you should take the foundation and test it, but if you do get one that is too dark put it on your neck too so that you don't get a make-up line, and put it on your ears and make sure you rub it in.x

Pencil always smudged for me too. I only use their cream liner now and it works great. I use it on my water line; the navy seems to stay on best for me but I love the teal. If you still smudge try putting on concealer where you want your eyeliner first, let it dry, then put on your eye liner. It stops most of the smudging.
Hope I helped!Does L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner work for the waterline?
No don't use a creame eyeliner in your waterline.
That eyeliner works really good for the upper and lower lid though. Just not inside the eye.
Try using a waterproof pencil eyeliner since all your others smear.
I like Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eyeliner or something like that.
You can get it at ulta or sephora, it's about $16 but stays on forever. And they have it in a bunch of different colors.
I've used it and loved it on my waterline. Never had anything that lasted so long, but if you have any concerns, I really like Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide on Pencil and you can even set it with an eyeshadow to make it stay longer. That works well too. Good luck!
no, I would advise you not to put liquid liner, or gel liner on your waterline. Unfortunately, you need to stick to pencils when it comes to your waterline.
you can however, use a pencil on your lower lash line, that doesn't smear and won't give you the racoon eye effect. I hate usng liner on my waterline for the racoon eye reason and the fact that i get black eye buggers.
gel liners and liquid liners can be very dangerous to the eye.
never tried it.
and i use the regular maybelline liquid eyeliner :)
stays on great!

How to apply L'oreal Paris Naturelle Mascara?
The best way is not to apply it, but to return it to L'Oreal with a picture of the torture they put animals through so you can have cosmetics.
Then you pick a brand with a conscience that doesn't test on animals. How to apply L'oreal Paris Naturelle Mascara?
You put in on like regular mascara...

Is the glycerin used in L'Oreal hair gel vegetarian friendly?
Any good links for determining which products are animal friendly (besides PETA)?Is the glycerin used in L'Oreal hair gel vegetarian friendly?
As far as vegetarian friendly yes, vegan friendly it might be, I thought that glycerin was a chemical, not from animals. Maybe some one who's is a serious Vegan who is on this site to help people instead of taking up space to get points can be of more help, if not i hope i helped. Is the glycerin used in L'Oreal hair gel vegetarian friendly?
Get a life. Please.
Since glycerin can be made from any type of fat or oil, which can be animal or vegetable, who knows? L'Oreal probably gets it's glycerin from a chemical supplier who gets his from???
Vegetarian friendly? Friendly to vegetarians? It is a bad idea to eat hair gel but if you have to I suppose so. Glycerin is not an animal product. I have never heard of any hair gel being unfriendly to vegetarians - especially that coming from Canada. Canadian hair gel is really friendly to everyone. But you never really know what a company is doing unless you are part of that organization. Profit rules you know. And if appealing to Vegetarians is the profitable thing to do then they will do it!
omg go ***** a chicken they are all veg friendly there are no animal parts in hair dies
Forget about maple syrup.

Can the L'oreal ELSEVE smoooth-intense conditioner be used everyday for the hair?
It would depend on your hair type, at most Conditioners ways your hair down as it builds up,If you was going to use any conditioner ever day its best to just use on the ends or the distressed areas. Can the L'oreal ELSEVE smoooth-intense conditioner be used everyday for the hair?
No, no formula is recommended every day. it will stimulate the head's grease glands and make your hair greasier, you'll have split ends, thinner hair and hair snapping off!Can the L'oreal ELSEVE smoooth-intense conditioner be used everyday for the hair?

Is L'oreal Shampoo Any Good And What About Boots ?
recently my stylist had suggested that i use loreal absolut repair shampoo and conditioner for my hair . its obviously to expensive and i had given it a thought . plus i see many people saying loreal shampoo is crap and its just that packed and advertised properly . now i met another stylist and i told him my problem about it being expensive . so he suggested another shapoo called BOOTS (honey and oatmeal) for dry hair . i have not heard about this . but how is it .Is L'oreal Shampoo Any Good And What About Boots ?
never heard of it. Some of the shampoos that are usually expensive, sometime you can find it in a smaller bottle.Which makes it convenient when you just don't have that much money. That way you still get the product without spending so much money at once, but you will still end up spending what it i costs, if not more to get the product because you will have to continuously buy it. There is not any professional products that are cheap. There ARE products that are cheap, but not PROFESSIONAL ones. There is a REDKIN shampoo and it is a professional product, and it is awesome on the hair. Compare the prices, and if its cheaper, go for it.
I am a hairstylist and have used it many times on my clients, it is an awesome shampoo. Good Luck with finding what you need.

Does L'oreal Color Pulse work for black hair?
I recently bought L'oreal Color Pulse Chilled Plum and was wondering if it will work on black hair. I never permed or dyed my hair before. If I leave it in longer would it have a better effect? Has any person with black hair tried this product on their hair?Does L'oreal Color Pulse work for black hair?
i dont think it can hurt to try.. i use that color all the time and it shows up at least some on my darker, never-dyed hair. it will probably be subtle. what i want to know though is where did you buy this? i have had to go online twice in the last year to buy it (i use that color about once a month) and it's getting harder and harder to find! is it still in any stores?Does L'oreal Color Pulse work for black hair?
dont leave it in longer than it says..
but it should work good

Are the drugstrore foundations (like Covergirl, L鈥橭real, Maybelline, etc) just as good as brand name foundatio?
Which brand do you prefer?
Do you like mineral or liquid founadation? Which one looks more natural, covers acne, and even out skin tone? Are the drugstrore foundations (like Covergirl, L鈥橭real, Maybelline, etc) just as good as brand name foundatio?
I have always been told that the brand name make up companies actually produce most of the store brand make ups... true or not true I don't know?! I like mineral foundation, I think it looks more natural and you don't need a lot to make a BIG difference. Are the drugstrore foundations (like Covergirl, L鈥橭real, Maybelline, etc) just as good as brand name foundatio?
I hate mineral makeup. Liquid foundation covers almost everything. Mineral doesn't cover acne. And how could it it's powder. Covergirl and revlon have the best foundations. For revlon I would use revlon colorstay and for covergirl i would use covergirll trublend. Almay is the one drugstore brand i hate for foundations. I've used a lot of them and i absolutely hate them. Trust me some of these drugstore brands work better than expensive department ones. Like smashbox. It sucks. My favorite department foundation is shiseido the makeup lifting foundation. I love love love this foundation.
for face stuff, i use physicians formula
it doesn't make me break out, and they have pretty nice colors
i like their mineral proudcts
pretty nice, and my dermatologist even recommended it for those who can't afford $100 mineral powder

Have you got instructions for L'Oreal Feria hair dye?
I have a box, but it's missing the instructions. I just need to know (for re-touch) whether to put on wet or dry hair, how long to leave on roots, and then how long to leave on rest of hair. Its the permanent dye.
Thanks!Have you got instructions for L'Oreal Feria hair dye?
Gosh, you're lucky I have them :)
For touch up you apply to roots only to towel dried hair (so still a bit damp ish) and then leave for ten minutes. Then you apply to the rest of your hair and leave it twenty mins, making total development time 30 mins. :DHave you got instructions for L'Oreal Feria hair dye?
I think the box had a mistake or someone took it.
Check their website. It'll have the directions.

L'oreal true match liquid foundation becomes thick after a while?
has anyone else experienced this? it gets so difficult to use the product that's left because it's just so thick after a while and this is not even a month after i've bought it.L'oreal true match liquid foundation becomes thick after a while?
It means there are air bubbles in the bottle meaning you probably don't tighten it all the way shut.L'oreal true match liquid foundation becomes thick after a while?
Once you have opened the product it starts to dry out. Even when it is recapped, you have already let air into it, there is nothing you can do to prevent this. I would recommend putting it in the fridge when not in use, this will help. Also L'Oreal now has a mineral make-up. You might want to learn how to use it instead of liquid make-up. I have been using a similar product from another company and I love it. I personally don't use L'Oreal anymore because they used animal testing and I'm against that. I have no proof as of yet that they have stoped. Also some of their other products smear, and I don't like that, I need a make up that will stay on my face all day. If you really like this product and continue wanting to use it even though it is drying out on you, look for coupons so you can save money and just through it out when it gets thick.
Always make sure you shake your foundation really well before EACH use! The liquid tends to rise to the top and that's what gets used first. Shake it well to keep it the same consistency all throughout the life of the bottle.
These are very common problems with the cheaper brands they end up being more expensive in the long run because they can not perform. I highly suggest BEE LUSCIOUS COSMETICS Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation it may cost 36.00 but the last in usage is over 7 months It is a much better buy.
mix it with a little moisturizer to thin it out.

How would ';deep plum'; (L'oreal's 416 Excellence creme) hair colour suit an Indian (dusky) skintone?
And how long does L'Oreal's Excellence Creme Permanent hair colour stay, anyway? How would ';deep plum'; (L'oreal's 416 Excellence creme) hair colour suit an Indian (dusky) skintone?
Well assuming that you hair is naturally a very dark brown probably close to black (level 1 or 2), it won't look like you dyed it at all except for in sunlight or bright light ...where your hair will look a very deep reddish purple....which sounds pretty nice for the autumn season
The hair dye you're planning on using is a level 4 shade and since you're buying it in the box kit, the developer that is mixed with the hair color is not going to be strong enough to get your hair the shade on the box. Honestly those hair dyes are meant for people that are only going no more than 2 levels lighter...if they're going darker it really doesn't matter.
If you really want to get your hair that color you'll have to make a trip to be beauty supply store or the salon.
Here's a chart with the haircolor levels:
http://www.style-hair-magazine.com/image鈥?/a>
To answer your question about permanent hair color, it's meant to stay in for more than 24 shampoos or more...they do fade out depending on your hair condition and how you take care of it but, they don't fade back to your natural haircolor. How would ';deep plum'; (L'oreal's 416 Excellence creme) hair colour suit an Indian (dusky) skintone?
it looks really nice as highlights though only if its long if your hair is short like shoulder then it will look bad
Use Microsoft Paint (it comes with Windows) on a picture of yourself with your hair changed to the color you think it will turn out. There are even better, but costly probgrams that can do that. Some programs even let you change hairstyles.
I think it would bring out the deep reds in your skintone, that would be really good.
It stays on until you wash it off. :]

I like gels. They hold so much better. What hair product is best for holding the hair back; I tried l'oreal extra firm hold and my hair still flops
The best hair gel to slick back hair is Spiker's gel. It's very thick and pretty much goes on like glue but at least it smells nice. They come in a blue squeeze tubes and you can buy them at your local drug stores or at any hair salons.
Gels do work and some brands are better than others. If you would like to skip the trials and tribulations of buying products then being disappointed by the results, have a chat to your stylist the next time you have your hair cut and ask for her recommendations.
Pep.
bigsexyhair works wonders!!! a bit pricey but well worth the hold.
Bobby pins and Fudge gell. If you can find it, Garnier extra extra extra hard.
Without a doubt, its Bed Head Maxxed Out hairspray!! its in a purple almost see-through bottle, and is like water rather than a spray. I used this when I had short hair, and still use it now to hold hair back. Nothing out there works better!
Try 'Big sexy hair' products, they work really well.

Which L'oreal mascara is the best and works really good?
Please and thanks!Which L'oreal mascara is the best and works really good?
i love full n' soft!Which L'oreal mascara is the best and works really good?
Never mind L'Oreal, try Maybelline Great Lash.
It is pretty cheap as far as mascaras go, but it is by far the best. It makes your lashes look way longer than other mascaras and lasts without slipping off the lashes!
voluminous! the best ever.
Actually to the Sally girl, Full N Soft is Maybelline. A good Loreal one would be the new one, the Double Extend Beauty Tubes (Red and white bottle) or the Voluminous (Grey bottle, gold applicator)
the new lash extentions one works great! its like, whoah, so long and volumous and lasts all day. it comes off so easy too!
I personally don't like L'Oreal much.
i used the Beauty Tubes thing and the mascara won't come off too well %26amp; i got a eye infectio from it /:
Anyways, try Maybelline Lash Stiletto instead.
Good luck (:
i love full n' soft!Which L'oreal mascara is the best and works really good?
Never mind L'Oreal, try Maybelline Great Lash.
It is pretty cheap as far as mascaras go, but it is by far the best. It makes your lashes look way longer than other mascaras and lasts without slipping off the lashes!
voluminous! the best ever.
Actually to the Sally girl, Full N Soft is Maybelline. A good Loreal one would be the new one, the Double Extend Beauty Tubes (Red and white bottle) or the Voluminous (Grey bottle, gold applicator)

Is there a hair product out there that can replace the discontinued L'Oreal Grab?
i've done thorough research, found Bed Head's Hard Head to be similar, but not quite the same thing. any leads and help would be great. thanks! Is there a hair product out there that can replace the discontinued L'Oreal Grab?
!!
i loooooooooved that stuff.
but now i use this stuff you can find at walmart/target/walgreens- got2b hair gel glue/cement. i don't remember what it's called. they're in cheesy yellow bottles with this really dumb grey writing on it, but they have a cardboard boxish thing around them. they're pricey, though. around 5$ a bottle when they're not on sale.
from the website: ';The ultimate spiker! It's for hair that ain't goin' nowhere. Push through hair to put it in place. Twist tips into stand-up straight spikes or haphazardly distribute all over for that unstructured, messy look! Delivers hold so strong (it's wind-tunnel tested) your style will last until your next shampoo. And of course, (we wouldn't forget this part) it's water resistant.';Is there a hair product out there that can replace the discontinued L'Oreal Grab?
Try a finnishing hairspray and just style it!
I suspect you will find many new (unopened) tubes of the product available on eBay. Many people sell discontuned products on there. I did a quick search and, yep! It's on eBay!
If nothing more, buying it there will hold you over until you find something you like as much. You could also call L'Oreal's consumer line and ask what products will be replacing it. You might find an easy match that way! Hope this helps!

Does anoyone know the exact meaning for the name L'OREAL?
I know it's French. I would like to have an exact translation into English. Any ideas on where to look for answer to this?Does anoyone know the exact meaning for the name L'OREAL?
I was told by a French friend of mine that it means nothing.Does anoyone know the exact meaning for the name L'OREAL?
It's a NAME, not a word. Usually companies are named for the name of the person who founded it, or the location of the place it's made in.
I tried to investigate and came up with nothing...sorry
In 1907, Eug猫ne Schueller, a young French chemist, developed an innovative hair-color formula. He called his improved hair dye Aur茅ole. With that, the history of L'Or茅al began. Eug猫ne Schueller formulated and manufactured his own products, which he then sold to Parisian hairdressers.
L'Or茅al is derived from the word '; Aur茅ole'; wich is french for the word halo.(a radiant light around the head )

Would L鈥橭real鈥檚 Color Zap strip black from my hair?
i have had black hair for long time now. and im totaly bored of it. i know stripping my hair will fry it but im willing to take that risk. i just need to know what product to use. whould L鈥橭real鈥檚 Color Zap be able to strip the black, or is black too dark?Would L鈥橭real鈥檚 Color Zap strip black from my hair?
omg everyone is so afraid of frying their hair. but i've bleeched my hair from black before and it didnt fry mine...you just have to have a really good deep conditioner and i used flash lightning. you might have to bleach it once (you're probably going to end up with an orange colored hair for a few days. NOT A BIG DEAL) and then color it a light brown to get rid of the orange color.
after that never go back to black. i've been there and done that and it sucks to try to get rid of that color. i finally got rid of all the black in my hair and i dyed it black in 7th grade and im a junior this year. :/ yeah it took me that long. thats what made me decide to bleech it, because every proffessional i went to either was going to charge me a billion dollars or they refused to do it all together.
good luck hun.Would L鈥橭real鈥檚 Color Zap strip black from my hair?
no it won't the only way to get black out is professionally beleive me it will fry your hair and you'll end up with a chemical cut, black is way too dark and too strong of a color ,been there done that...
you have to go to a perfessional

Does L'Oreal Preference for dark hair only work?
I have natural black hair that i want to dye brown. I was thinking about using this product. Does it work? Also, how much developer should I use with it if i have black hair?Does L'Oreal Preference for dark hair only work?
as long as you have no dye on your hair already, than it will work.
the color will only lighten natural hair, it will not pick up dyed hair.
the only thing I would be careful of is that your hair is black - sometimes lightening hair that is that dark can have brassy results, so make sure you pick a cool color, instead of a warm color.

What do you think of True Match foundation and powder by L`oreal?
i'm looking for makeup that doesnt affect my acne prone skin..ive heard alot of good reviews about bare minerals and pure minerals but unfortunately we dont have a sephora in canada and i'd rather test the product in a drugstore or any store before i purchase it. i was thinking of buying the true match one but since im really prone to breakouts im scared..any other suggestions? thanks in advanceWhat do you think of True Match foundation and powder by L`oreal?
The most common issue with mineral makeup is that it contains talc. Not all products do but make sure that you check that before you purchase anything. Talc will clog your pores and only worsen the acne issue. I would talk to a dermatologist and see if they can recommend something that won't irritate your skin. If you aren't looking for a massive amount of coverage I would try Philosophy's The Supernatural which is a super light, tinted SPF that evens out the skin but won't do much to cover zits. Good luck! What do you think of True Match foundation and powder by L`oreal?
You should be able to purchase Bare Minerals online if you feel okay doing that.
I found it ok on my skin, but mine is not sensitive to acne at all. However, apply it lightly to begin, and ALWAYS wash it off at end of day, as early as possible.

Do you think Lancome cosmetics are still higher quality than L'oreal, even though it is owned by Loreal?
I think so, Ive bought loreal and ive bought lancome and I like lancome alot more, and yes I wear makeup!Do you think Lancome cosmetics are still higher quality than L'oreal, even though it is owned by Loreal?
the more expensive it is, usually the more concentrated the formula of the makeup is. it tends to be finer and applies more easily than more inexpensive makeup. it doesn't really matter that madame loreal owns all the other companies, you are still going to get a better quality with the prestige brands. loreal also has maybelline and kiehls under their umbrella, among many others.Do you think Lancome cosmetics are still higher quality than L'oreal, even though it is owned by Loreal?
Yeah I think so... it's like how Toyoya owns Lexus or how Nissan owns Infinity but Lexus and Infiniti are more like luxury cars. Lancome is more of the luxury makeup.
I do believe that Lancome is a better quality even though it's owned by Loreal. Usually the higher end products use the higher end ingredients. Although I like Lancome, I perfer Clinque. It's better than the drug store products, but not as expensive as other department store cosmetics.
Lancome is definitely of a higher quality. Nobody would pay that much for regular L'Oreal products, but the regular L'Oreal products are specifically made to be sold as a drugstore brand. If they were the same quality as Lancome products, they would cost just as much.
i completely agree with you. i love lancome
Yes, the more expensive price points use better ingredients and formula. So it is better than the cheaper makeup. However, sometimes, the expense is because of the packaging and the formula is quite similar.
I work in cosmetics (L'Oreal specifically) and can tell you without hesitation that L'Oreal, Lancome and Maybelline share their technology. The difference is minimal....and is mostly in packaging and fragrance. Sometimes the cheaper brand makes a superior product.

Does L'Oreal Bare Naturale Gentle Mineral have shimmer to it?
I purchased CoverGirl's Trueblend micromineral foundation and when I applied it to my face, it made it shimmer which wasn't natural to me at all. I was wondering if L'Oreal Bare Naturale Gentle Mineral does the same before I purchase it?Does L'Oreal Bare Naturale Gentle Mineral have shimmer to it?
not that I know of. I know the blushes and bronzers of the line do. If you purchase it from walgreens and rite aid they wull take it back if it does end up having shimmer. I'm sorry, I'm not super positive but I don't think it does. My friend uses it and I never noticed any shimmer.

How do i use ';L'Oreal Studio Hot Straight Cream';?
Im gona purchase this because
1)I need to protect my hair , cause i want to wash my hair every day but i cant in fear of damaging my hair when i straighten it.LOL.
2) I heard it keeps hair straight ?
I have no expierience with these sort of products,
So i know you apply it after a shower,
I dont know : ..do i put it on my wet hair before i dry it..?? And if i apply it while my hair is wet, do i need to wait for the cream to soak in or dry up before using straighteners ?
Thanks in advance :) xxHow do i use ';L'Oreal Studio Hot Straight Cream';?
Hi i use this product and have done for the past year i also wash my hair and straighten it everyday and as its blonde the bleach doesnt help lol you need to wash your hair towel dry it and then squeeze a small amount into the palm of you hands rub together and comb your fingers through your hair avoiding the roots and blow dry (be careful not to use too much as this will leave your hair looking limp) Once your hair is dry straighten i tend to put a dab of the cream onto my hair before i straighten and the results are fantastic. weell i use summat similar i put small bit in my hair wen its wet n dry it like normal n wen its dry u can starightn it hope it helps :)
Start with damp hair. Rub an ample amount of cream in hands %26amp; apply to hair by running hands through hair avoiding roots.
Completely dry hair using a blowdryer.
Divide hair with a wide tooth comb into small 1 inch section %26amp; iron. Style anyway you choose.
blowdry hair to about 85% dry.
put a dab of cream into the palm of your hand; rub hands together. dab onto hair avoiding the roots. comb thru and continue drying until completely dry with a big round brush to pull it straight.
to use it with a flat iron, do the above, then:
subsection dry hair from bottom to top applying a little bit to each dry section before straightening it. it'll probably smoke a little (it's heating the product into your hair)
make sure ur hair is clean and dry, put it on your hair then blow dry n straighten simple!!!!heart rate monitor

What works best for dyeing hair black. L'oreal Preference or L'oreal Feria?
My natural hair color is black, but I have it dyed brown, now I want black again, which brand works better. What works best for dyeing hair black. L'oreal Preference or L'oreal Feria?
I have always had better results with Feria. It has a really good conditioner and multi-tonal color, meaning it looks more natural rather than like solid paint. Good luck. Loreal really is a great product. What works best for dyeing hair black. L'oreal Preference or L'oreal Feria?
go to kenneth's they wont mess it up and you dont have to worry about what color theyll kno just what to do and theyre amazing dont trust urself or hair products:] i go to kenneths for all my highlights and formal styling and ive always been happy with the outcome and im only 14.
Probably Feria, all their colours are great.
You could use a colour stripper though, that'd work even better.
Not a prelightener or anything, just one actually specified for removing dye from hair.

Not a prelightener or anything, just one actually specified for removing dye from hair.
What might happen if I use Cool Blonde L'oreal Color Pulse on my black hair?
What might happen if I use Cool Blonde L'oreal Color Pulse on my black hair? It's not permed, or colored, or anything. I have used a darker color of Color Pulse before to try to get brown highlights but it didn't even show up because my hair was too dark, so I'm using the lightest color possible. Any suggestions? What might happen if I use Cool Blonde L'oreal Color Pulse on my black hair?
the only way to lighten black hair is to bleach it. Color is not strong enough. If you bleach, you have to bring your hair up to its lightest, then shampoo, condition, and blowdry. Then add a toner. Its a mild color that you can put on after a bleach. What might happen if I use Cool Blonde L'oreal Color Pulse on my black hair?
If u dyed your hair black then nothing is going to happen to your hair you HAVE to bleach your hair in order to have the other color pop out......
I really suggest going to professional. I have dark brown hair..And i colored them sooo many times cause i wanted to go lighter and now my ends are messed up...so i had to cut my hair very short so they can regrow...trust me. Its worth giving up 50 bucks for hair color once then doing it urself 10 times...
I have dark brown hair and i had to color them at least 5 times with different products to go lighter and still no result..so i was stupid enough to bleach them:)....and when i decided to go back to dark brown i couldn't cause my ends were soo dry and overprocesssed...so roots would go dark brown but ends would stay very light....
My fiancee likes to change his dark brown hair to a blonde there for he gets tips in time. His hair turns to a copper color its almost orange. Be careful
They usually show you on the back of the box what you get with your current color of hair.
I would worry about it turning brown/red. Black hair would be better with some caramel highlights or mahagony highlights added. I would get it done professionally not experiment with extremes!
Addt'l info: If it isn't permanent (bleach or lightener) then it will probably not even show on your hair. You will just be wasting your money. Sorry! Try something else!
it will turn orange. If you want to go blond use bleach. You can get it at the beauty supply store.

Can you use tinfoil when you dye your hair with ';L'oreal Paris'; Hair dye?
Im using this hair dye to streak my hair, not fully color it. The dye i got is not intended or advertised for doing streaks. I want to know if you can use tinfoil with this dye. Ive heared that alot of dyes cant come in contact with metal. Ive read the box and the paper and it doesnt say anything about not using foil. Has any one had any experience with this, or are there any beauticians out there. Can you use tinfoil when you dye your hair with ';L'oreal Paris'; Hair dye?
you can, but make sure the streaks are very, very thin. also, put in very few at first... gradually add in more.. this way you can't go wrong. Can you use tinfoil when you dye your hair with ';L'oreal Paris'; Hair dye?

About 3 weeks ago i dyed my hair with black henna cause i wanted something natural to darken my hair .. well the results weren't as i expected and all the henna seems to have washed out. Do you think it's ok to use a chemical (without amonia) dye on my hair? Pls help :)What do you think?is it ok to use L'oreal Casting on hair which has been dyed with henna?
hey, I found this for you http://www.mookychick.co.uk/style/removi鈥?/a>
at the bottom it has some tips on how to get it out of your hair.
I think it would probably be a good idea to go to the hairdressers and have them dye it for you. What do you think?is it ok to use L'oreal Casting on hair which has been dyed with henna?
there is no such thing as safe natural black henna.
Henna only gives red color to hair.
So you used fake dangerous black henna. I have no idea what it is, but possibly bigen hair dye that is PPD filled and really bad for you.
This said, you have not used henna so there is not going to be a problem .
Yeah, that should be fine, just read the packet really carefully to check it really is amonia free.
take care :]
not this soon...let it wear out a little more, henna is not really good for your hair...

You cannot re-color your hair lighter if it has previous color on it....ever. Color will not lighten color, therefore, you'll either have to wait for it to fade or use a color remover and then try re-coloring the hair.

What do you think of the L'Oreal True Match collection?
I thought about buying but not sure. Anyone tried it? Is it good? Is it worth the money? I saw the liquid foundation is about $10 a bottle so that's why I'm asking...lol.What do you think of the L'Oreal True Match collection?
Hi, I actually use this foundation -
I would say that it is very good depending on whether you find a good match for your skin tone because some shades do seem to be a bit too pinky/orange, I use two shades diluted with a bit of moisturiser, and I find it to look perfect that way. What I love the most is that it has a sort of shimmery/glittery affect on your skin which is very flattering and gives your skin a kind of glow which looks lovely.
I have quite oily skin and find that it does need to be reapplied after about 5-6 hours or sometimes less, but I guess the staying power would depend on your skin type. It also washes off easily so there's no need to worry about stained towels! It is also good to my skin and I haven't noticed any extra blemishes since I've been using it, which is always a plus for me!
In my opinion it wouldn't hurt to buy some, do a trial test and see how it goes, but I've dug up some reviews from another website to help you decide - Hope I helped. What do you think of the L'Oreal True Match collection?
i have used it and i luv it so u should try some
Omg..its the best foundation ever. It gives a really sheer coverage, and looks very natural to me.
IT's AMAZING!
try it, and you'll love it!
my hair turned out very natural looking.
I love it! It's totally worth the money! (I know it's expensive)

Is L'Oreal Bare Naturale Mineral Makeup good at covering up blemishes?
I'm really considering buying this, but I want to know does it just make your blemishes stand out more, or does it actually cover them?Is L'Oreal Bare Naturale Mineral Makeup good at covering up blemishes?
I heard it is and I am wanting to buy it too.Is L'Oreal Bare Naturale Mineral Makeup good at covering up blemishes?
It's really good.
Though I hardly have any blemishes due to monthly facials.
urm not sure buttt ive tried it and its really stong and thick ! but if you have blemishes its better to use cover up stick or a concealer ! but other then that i would go for the LOREAL beacuse its not as bad for your skin and it looks natural why dont you test it out :) xxxxxx
it actually covers them
Depends how big and red they are. They now make a little tiny mineral concealer (the container is soooo cute!) that will cover what the foundation won't.
YES!!! IT DEFINATELY WORKS GREAT!!!
The only way to know if it is right for you is to buy it, try it, and if you dont like it return it.

They are not at walmart or CVS. So what store can i get it from? What store can I buy Color Pulse by L'oreal?
A local grocery store or pharmacy should stock either it or another 8-wash or similar colouring system. Napro LIVE temperary colour is an example.

Which foundation should I get? L'oreal true match or max factor liquid foundation?
I'm going to get either one or the other, but which one will give the best coverage for blemishes??Which foundation should I get? L'oreal true match or max factor liquid foundation?
I'd say Loreal too, but not because its heavy. What I have isn't heavy at all, and has pretty buildable coverage. Also True Match has soooo many more shades than Max Factor. and Max Factor doesn't have coordinating concealer, blush and bronzer like True Match does.Which foundation should I get? L'oreal true match or max factor liquid foundation?
I think of those two, get loreal - their true match foundation has a pretty good coverage and the colour range is so good, you can definitely find one that really matches your skin so you don't look like orange-face, or ghost face. But, honestly, it's better to cover blemishes with a concealer rather than piling on a lot of foundation. It will look more natural if you use less foundation, and then dab a little concealer over the foundation just on the blemishes. Loreal also makes a few good concealers.
L'oreal definitely because it's a lot heavier than max factor makeup in general, especially True Match. I'd say get the mineral one though because it's natural, good for your skin, still has heavy coverage if you choose and stays on all day! X
I have L'oreal true match and I think its amazing, I dont wear it heavy because I detest that look but it looks lovely all the same :) I dont wear Max Factor makeup and have never heard it well recommended, so I go with L'oreal mostly.
Personally I would say L'oreal True Match.
I always use it, I find it blends really well, especially when used with moisturiser.
True match..I love it! also has very good coverage and looks natural, the other one is too liquidy and not great coverage
Hope that helps
Mineral makeup covers belmishes very well, and you only need to use the powder.

I'm turning 28 in a few weeks and decided I need a proper skin care routine. What L'Oreal range is best?
I've looked on their website and from age 20 it suggests three - Hydrafresh, Activ.futur. and Visible Results which it suggests from 25. Would this be right? Are there better products? I'd always thought Visible Results was for somone in mid30s rather than mid 20s?I'm turning 28 in a few weeks and decided I need a proper skin care routine. What L'Oreal range is best?

Help! How can I get rid of my Preference by l'Oreal hair color (as in color of my hair!)?
I dyed it a kinda' strawberry blonde, but would like to go back to a warm blonde. (They're calling me carrot top!) I've tried dying over it 3 times with the blonde, but all it effects are my roots. Is there any product out there that will remove hair dye? Or dye that will dye over another color? Help? Thanx!Help! How can I get rid of my Preference by l'Oreal hair color (as in color of my hair!)?
Go to a salon. They can help you. You are going to ruin your hair dying it that often.Help! How can I get rid of my Preference by l'Oreal hair color (as in color of my hair!)?
yea i suggest going to a salon, they'll definately help cover it up, my friend bleached part of her dark brown hair and patches of it went orange.. it was gross but the stylist fixed it up perfectly :) im sure they can do the same with yours. Otherwise you could try bleaching it once and then dying it back to your normal color, then don't do anything else to it for a while..
hope this helped!
My aunt is a hairdresser and once, I dyed my hair blue black (did not look good). My mum was on the phone to her one time and mentioned my hair and my aunt told me to wash it with anti-dandruff shampoo and it definitely works. It's alot better than going to a salon because all they can do is bleach the colour out and if you've already bleached it 3 times, your hair is going to be f***ed.
I agree with the first girl.
You won't have much hair left when you get older if you bleach it/ dye it that often and you don't want that! x
Try searching it on the internet :) x

hi ! there is this crazy link that gives away L'Oreal samples and a gift card ,im doing it now and saw your question, here it is if you want to give it a try. they got tons of other free stuff. the L'Oreal one is on the bottom.
Peter GabrielL'oreal true match??? (does it work to conceal dark circles and can I make it look dewy?)?
If you mean the foundation, it is not that effective. Try better concealers like Make Up For Ever Full cover or Vichy Dermablend.
I hate to say this, but it really sucks. I suggest you get something else. There are much, much better products out there. I'm not completely sure what you mean by dewy, but it will not cover dark circles. And besides, L'oreal is full of nasty biproducts and they are said to be one of the cruelest animal testing companies. I really suggest you find something better.
i don't know wat dewy means but i do know it is a good foundation i used to use it until it all gone and then i lost the foundation x
i think it is fine to cover blue circles but i am not sure
hope this helps x
It'll work, but it might be a little too heavy. You should buy some concealer. It's not as heavy as foundation and it provides excellent coverage for dark circles.

Does anyone know how to mix/ use L'oreal Efassor permanent hair colour remover?
I have hair which is darkest brown and want to remove.Does anyone know how to mix/ use L'oreal Efassor permanent hair colour remover?
yeah um i would use a 30 peroxide and leave it in until yu see the color lighten not too long though and remeber tht that stuff is bad for your hair so when you do remove the color use a semi-permanant, not a permanant color at first, and know that your hair will not be its original color it is a stripper ,not a restorer and it usually isnt pretty so after you remove make sure to wait at least 2 weeks before you color again with the permanant. and i would suggest using a protien filler before you color again so it comes out even. good luck sweetie.Does anyone know how to mix/ use L'oreal Efassor permanent hair colour remover?
this is very tricky...you need to be really careful as you can end up wreaking your hair. Best thing to do is a strand test first. All the instructions should be in the box, make sure you follow these to the letter. Best solution is to go to the hairdressers and have the colour stipped professionaly as it is more tricky to remove colour than to apply it...good luck
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE !!!!!!!!!
Go to a hairdressers! If you dont know how to mix it, how in the world can you know how to use it?!
Removing colour from hair can be more difficult, and definatley more time consuming then perming. You could end up with breakage or it could turn a funny colour.
It will definatley come out uneven and patchy, so you need a hairdresser to apply it so they can then reapply to the patchy area's.
the directions should be on the box, you just pour the powder in the liquid.hair styling

Anyone that has used L'Oreal true match minerals?
There are some really mixed reviews on the web and i've bought some but thinking about taking them back.
What do you think of them? I suffer from rosacea and have combination skin. Is this the wrong foundation for me?Anyone that has used L'Oreal true match minerals?
yes i have and they're great. i have very sensitive skin and the stuff doesn't irritate it at all. bare minerals is also good but a lot more money. try the l'oreal. i don't know if you have cvs or rite-aids near you but if you purchase it from there and don't like it you can return it due to their 100% money back guarantee. :)Anyone that has used L'Oreal true match minerals?
ive never used that paticular brand but in my experience any mineral foundation that i have ever used does not look good .... you can allawys tell that your wearing makeup

It might not change colors, I've used dyes before that didn't really change, but if it's a peroxide blonde there is a chance you'll get greenishI just recently used l'oreal colour rays and im a competitive swimmer wat should i do ?
use '; ion purifying solutions swimmers shampoo'; its anti - chlorine cleanser and is color safe i used it all this summer when i went swimming and my dyed hair didn't turn color at all. i washed my hair with it after swimming and then washed my hair with regular shampoo, you can find it in a beauty salon in a pink and white bottle,i found it in ';Sally's beauty salon';
The best thing to do is call their 800 number and ask them. SHould be on the box ...

Good luck
Luckily you are in the only activity (swimming) where it is understandable for your hair to turn green.
It will look kinda cool i bet.
coat your hair with conditioner before you get in the pool. wear a swim cap!

What would you choose l'oreal color juice in bubblegum or maybelline shiny-licious in pink sorbet?
I have been eying for a perfect lip gloss. which one should I chose?
I want the one which is worth my money..
And how much does each one cost in philippine peso?
where can I buy one which is near my place in Plaridel,Bulacan, Philippines? What would you choose l'oreal color juice in bubblegum or maybelline shiny-licious in pink sorbet?
colour juice rocksWhat would you choose l'oreal color juice in bubblegum or maybelline shiny-licious in pink sorbet?
i prefer L'oreal!!! all the way
it's the same company as Lancome whish is very good make-up and it's only slightly lower quality...hence it costs less
i think that you should buy the lip gloss in pink sorbet because although bubblegum has a good scent, most of the lip glosses that try to imitate it ends up coming up short
I'd opt for Maybelline- definitely worth the money. However I don't know the conversion into pesos... you could try the local drugstores or super-markets to see if they're sold there?
